The ICU at Nimeh Shaaban Hospital has several active beds with full cardiac and respiratory monitoring, mechanical ventilators and CCTV for continuous observation.
The unit can care for and treat patients who need general intensive care. For other specialties, the hospital's physicians are available for consultation when needed.
Since the unit opened, surgical patients who need intensive care are transferred directly to the ICU, where they receive reliable intensive care and can pass the post-operative period safely.
All infection-control standards are observed in the unit to protect patients from hospital-acquired infections.
