In knee replacement surgery (arthroplasty), the damaged surfaces of the knee joint are removed and replaced with artificial components to relieve pain and improve movement.
Before surgery

After surgery
- Every patient needs a walker or cane for a while – at least two weeks, depending on their condition and the complexity of the knee replacement.
- Keep the wound dressing on for 10 days to two weeks; the stitches are then removed.
- Do not drive for two months after the operation.

- Laboratory tests: CBC, FBS, HbA1c, ESR, CRP
- Imaging: Knee X-rays and MRI, chest X-ray
