- No prostate examination or prostate biopsy should have been done in the week before the test.
- Radiotherapy (radiation therapy), bacterial inflammation and medicines such as testosterone can also change the result of this test.
- For 48 hours before the test, avoid sexual intercourse, ejaculation and cycling.
- It is very important to sit completely still for at least 15 minutes before the test begins.
